This Toronto house is an eclectic blend of antique and contemporary pieces, and the overall interior is a reflection of the client themself. Many of the pieces were acquired from the client’s time living abroad in London, as well as a result of their love for travelling.
The playful tone of the living room is set with the stunning lavender sofa by David Linley, and the reupholstered silk antique chairs sit in opposing harmony. Kate’s luxurious and detailed silk Birdie rug adds more playful energy to the room. The cushions on the antique bench beneath the gallery wall are covered in Kate’s Palm print.
In the family room, the blue and red velvet Medallion pillows are inspired by the pattern from Kate’s Medallion rug and were designed in collaboration with Toronto fashion label Smythe; and the wicker rocking chair has used Kate’s Island Toile print.
The stair runner is Kate’s flat-weave wool Casablanca design, and is durable enough to withstand pets, yet elegant enough for an entryway.
All of Kate’s products are made to order and can be custom designed to fit with any room, as reflected by the many different uses of Kate’s designs throughout this beautiful Toronto house.
