Kate’s signature bold and confident attitude towards design is shown throughout the house in her use of vibrant colours, patterns and the mixing of contemporary and antique furnishings.
The centrepiece of the living room is a beautiful David Linley desk, and Kate’s Paisley rug in black wool and champagne coloured silk is the perfect compliment to the bright yellow silk upholstered walls. The vibrant green wallpapered hallway accentuates the colours of Kate’s rugs throughout the house, starting with the silk Peacock rug in the downstairs hallway. Kate’s Casablanca design is used as the stair runner throughout the house. The chaise on the landing is a gorgeous cut Alexander McQueen fabric, and the dragon flies offered the inspiration to Kate’s Butterflies and Bees silk rug in the upstairs hallway. The daughter’s pale pink bedroom is bursting with even more nature and animal motifs, starring Kate’s silk Birdie rug. The wallpaper, hand painted with birds and blooms, the butterflies on the canopy and the floral bedding all together create a luxurious, nature inspired oasis for rest and play.
